The United States faced El Salvador in Columbus for the first game of the Qualifier window
Jesus Ferreira was the surprise in the Starting XI over Ricardo Pepi. Jesus played a well rounded game & could have scored two goals in the first 20 minutes of the match.
The match ended 1-0 with a Goal from Antonee Robinson (24) in the 52 with an Assist with a header by Jesus Ferreira (21)
The game was a bit sloppy at the start for both teams.
The USMNT had the majority of possession but they lacked an idea on how to penetrate the Salvadoran team
Christian Pulisic did not have the best game , Weston McKennie was by far the best player in the field for either teams

This is the 15th straight home win over El Salvador by the US since 1989
The Result leaves the Americans in second place with 18 points , just one point behind Canada & one point above Mexico

The US has two matches in very harsh weather conditions in Hamilton, Ontario & St. Paul , Minnesota
A victory in both game will assure the first place in the Table for this January window
