The United States National Tram defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina in a tense game at Dignity Health Sports Park. With this victory, the US Men’s National Team had its best year with 17 favorable results, including three against Mexico, a Nations Team title, a World Cup, and first place in the CONCACAF Qualifiers.
Despite having many young players, the US step at Dignity Health Sports Park with some experienced members. Matt Turner in goal, the defense led by Nashville star Walker Zimmerman; Jesus Ferreira and Cristian Roldan in the midfield; and FC Dallas 18-year-old star Ricardo Pepi. Other known players like Cade Cowell enter in the second half.
Not a lot took place in the first half. The field’s condition was not the best, and the only highlight was the red card for Bosnian player Amer Begic after a challenge over Kellyn Acosta.
Despite the lack of opportunities in the areas, there was a great atmosphere at LA Galaxy’s stadium.
The second half brought many substitutions and a last-minute goal by Colo9rado Rapids midfielder Cale Bassett after numerous rebounds and a good delivery.
Walker Zimmerman was selected as Man of the Match-the Nashville defender had a usual outstanding performance in the air and some participation in some offensive plays
The United States will continue on their road to Qatar in January when they will have a home game against El Salvador and Honduras and travel to the north to face Canada.
