FC Cincinnati have beaten Toronto FC in their last three H2H matchups dating back to April 30, 2022.
FC Cincinnati, with a win, can clinch the 2023 MLS Supporters’ Shield for the first time in club history. Cincinnati would be the third team in MLS history to win the Supporters’ Shield just two year removed of a Wooden Spoon (last place) finish, joining the 2010 LA Galaxy and 2008 Columbus Crew.
Luciano Acosta and FC Cincinnati agreed to a contract extension through the 2026 season, with an option for 2027, the club announced on Friday, September 22nd. “You just have to be prepared for different things.” Noonan stated on Thursday, when asked about the prospect of facing this Toronto FC side. “We’ll anticipate their healthiest and strongest, which obviously has a couple very dangerous wingers.”
“I think they’re an experienced team. Despite results not being in their favor, they have enough experience and quality to cause us a lot of problems. When you’re not in the playoff picture, there’s things that you might try at this stage so we need to be prepared for multiple things.”
