The Dynamo faced off against the Seattle Sounders at Shell Energy Stadium, who were coming off a disappointing Open Cup loss to the Galaxy. The rain and the lights proved too much at the end of the day for the 9-man Dynamo losing the game by one in the last couple minutes of the match.
The Houston Dynamo came out, in their expected lineup, in a game where they were expected to protect their home like they have in their previous home stands allowing conceding zero goals, in all their home matches.
Amine Bassi, the new winger of the Dynamo was found guilty of a studs-up offense by VAR that led to a red card. This would not be the only hardship the Dynamo would face this game with captain Hector Herrera receiving a second yellow, in the second half. The Dynamo would hold back and park the bus the rest of the game, unfortunately conceding late, after a cross in the box by Seattle.

Following the loss the Dynamo immediately went on the road to a Loons team who has struggled alone. Minnesota has historically been a hard opponent for the Dynamo, and it showed as the Dynamo lost again in a 1-0 defeat.
The Dynamo opposed to the game versus Seattle looked dangerous, especially with new Nigerian signing Ibrahim Aliyu putting in a great shift creating a great opportunity, and hitting the crossbar. Although the team was dangerous at times, it was overshadowed by the ultimate possession domination that Minnesota had throughout the game. The absence of Hector Herrera in the midfield was clearly recognized.
The Dynamo will face a very familiar rival club FC Dallas, in the real Texas Derby. Dallas, has been on fire this season, being led by USMNT forward Jesus Ferreira. Ben Olsen and Co. will look to capitalize and bring home three points this weekend, after attacking struggles throughout the past two matches especially.
