The USMNT camp continues to take shape ahead of the Olympic qualifying tournament. Defender Aaron Herrera and midfielder Hassani Dotson spoke to the media and gave their impressions on how the squad is coming along. At the moment the team looks ahead to the opening game against Costa Rica.

He also highlighted the ability of the coaching staff to gather material on their rivals regardless of where they are and how they play. In terms of the deduction of the squad in the coming week, Herrera emphasized the unity and work ethic of the team. “It raises a level in training, competition is always good, but regardless of who stays, everyone has done their part to contribute to the team”.
Dotson downplayed the favoritism aspects about playing in Mexico, “We don’t focus on the outside, we should work on what we need to improve”. On a personal level, he talked about upcoming challenges and how he just wants to take everything one step at a time.
