January 5, 2024 (CINCINNATI, OH) – Corey Baird, former Houston Dynamo forward, is finalizing a deal with FC Cincinnati, sources close to the deal confirm with Area Sports Network. This comes after Wednesday’s news that FC Cincinnati was finalizing a deal for the transfer of forward Brandon Vazquez to Liga MX side CF Monterrey. No additional details on Baird’s contract are available at the time of writing.

Corey Baird won the 2023 US Open Cup with Houston last year, his first trophy as a professional. Baird joined Real Salt Lake from Stanford in 2018, earning the Rookie of the Year honors that season. He’d go on to spend half of 2021 with Los Angeles FC before being traded to Houston where he’s played until now. Baird, 27, has 183 appearances with the three MLS clubs across 6 seasons, scoring 35 goals and assisting 28 across all competitions. In 2023, Baird scored 14 goals and assisted 8 across all competitions (48 matches) for the Houston Dynamo.

Baird joins a FC Cincinnati forward group led by Designated Player Aaron Boupendza, along with Arquimides Ordoñez and Sergio Santos.
